Quick answer: Kisonli makes three main kinds of speakers: USB-powered PC speakers for a desk ($5 to $31), portable Bluetooth speakers with a battery ($9 to $45), and larger party speakers and soundbars ($25 to $200). Choose by where you will listen: at the computer, on the go, or for a room full of people.

Kisonli speakers are popular because they are affordable and pack a lot of features: Bluetooth, FM radio, memory card playback and RGB lights. The catch is that model names don't tell you much. This guide explains the types, what the numbers on the box mean, and which models suit which use.

The three types of Kisonli speakers

USB and PC speakers

These sit next to a monitor or laptop. They take power from a USB port and sound from the 3.5mm audio jack, so there is no battery to charge. Most are 2.0 stereo (two speakers); some are 2.1, adding a small subwoofer for more bass, or a soundbar that fits under a monitor. Some models also have Bluetooth, so you can play from your phone too.

Portable Bluetooth speakers

These have a built-in battery and connect to your phone over Bluetooth. Most also play music from a USB flash drive or TF (microSD) card and have an FM radio, which is handy during power cuts. Popular picks:

  • Kisonli S19 ($12): 5W, Bluetooth 5.3, FM, AUX, RGB.
  • Kisonli G18 ($15): 5W, IPX6 water resistant, 1800mAh, Bluetooth 5.3.
  • Kisonli K20 ($22): 10W with a 2400mAh battery and FM.
  • Kisonli Q34 ($30): 15W, TWS pairing, RGB, 2400mAh.

Party speakers and soundbars

For gatherings, a living room or a small shop, these give much more volume. Some include a microphone for karaoke.

  • Kisonli G21 ($25): compact RGB karaoke speaker with a wireless mic.
  • Kisonli K5 ($40): 20W (10W × 2), 3600mAh battery, TWS, RGB.
  • Kisonli K8 ($100): 50W party speaker with RGB, EQ and TWS.
  • Kisonli K15 ($110): 75W with a 6000mAh battery.
  • Kisonli K16 Soundbar ($200): 120W with subwoofer, HDMI ARC and optical input for a TV. It runs on mains power, not battery.

What the specs mean

Output power (W)

Watts give a rough idea of how loud a speaker can play. As a guide: 3W to 5W suits a desk or a bedroom, 8W to 16W fills a living room, and 20W and above is for outdoor use or parties. When you see "2 × 5W", the speaker has two 5W drivers, 10W in total. Watts are not the whole story; bigger drivers and bass radiators usually mean fuller bass at the same wattage.

Bluetooth version

Newer versions such as 5.0 and 5.3 tend to connect faster and hold a steadier link than older 4.2. For playing music from a phone in the same room, any of them works. Where we know the version, we list it on the product page; for example the S19, G18 and Q25 use Bluetooth 5.3.

TF, USB and FM

  • TF card means a microSD card slot: copy MP3 files onto a card and play without a phone.
  • USB on a portable speaker usually means it plays music from a USB flash drive.
  • FM is a built-in radio.
  • AUX is a 3.5mm input for a cable from a phone, PC or TV.

TWS pairing

TWS (True Wireless Stereo) lets you pair two identical speakers together as a left and right pair, for wider stereo sound.

Battery (mAh) and play time

A higher mAh number means a bigger battery, but larger speakers also use more power. Play time depends on volume and lights: RGB effects and high volume shorten it. That's why we list play time as a range, for example "3 to 6 hours".

Water resistance

IPX4 means splash resistant (light rain, a splash by the pool). IPX6 resists strong jets of water. Neither is meant to go underwater.

How to pick the right one

  • For a computer: a USB 2.0 pair like the A606, or a 2.1 set like the U-3000BT if you want more bass. Make sure your PC has a free USB port and a 3.5mm audio output, or pick a Bluetooth PC speaker.
  • For a bedroom, kitchen or office: a 5W to 10W portable such as the S19 or K20.
  • For the beach, balcony or outdoors: choose a water-resistant model like the G18 and a bigger battery.
  • For parties or karaoke: 20W and above, such as the K5, K8 or K15, or the G21 if you want a mic in the box.
  • For a TV: the K16 soundbar connects through HDMI ARC or optical.
