How do I know if I need 12.7mm or 9.5mm?
Measure the thickness of your laptop's DVD drive. Standard drives are 12.7mm; slim drives are 9.5mm. The caddy must match the drive bay, not your hard drive.
Common questions
Will my laptop recognise the drive?
Yes, in most laptops the caddy drive appears as a normal second disk.
Can I keep the front cover of my DVD drive?
Usually yes. You can move the front bezel from your old DVD drive to the caddy so it matches your laptop.
Does it come with a hard drive?
No. The drive is sold separately.
